We're keeping busy these days, and busy is good! We painted the front door and replaced the lock and handle...the lock had broken the week before our last trip to Vietnam and was replaced with a non-matching deadbolt. Then sometime last year the handle mechanism stopped working, so we had removed the mechanism and left only the handle. We had a devil of a time finding a set that would fit in our steel door where the holes were drilled. But we did! And it's done! I think a shiny front door with new hardware must be a good omen for welcoming good news! I don't have a picture of the door...so here are some of the other things we've been up to...

We have also fixed the step on the back deck, painted the garage and window jambs outside as well as some eavestroph touchups and repaired, rehung the gate and relevelled a few of the flagstones in our front walkway. Just a couple things left outside before the crew moves in.
