LONO - letter of no objection

We received in the mail today our copy of our Ministry issued 'letter of no objection'.  This is significant for 2 reasons:

1 - the expiry of our extended Ministry Approval was approaching...we would have needed a whole new homestudy to get a new Approval which would have taken TIME and MONEY

2 - when the invitation to travel is issued by Vietnam we are good to go...as soon as I get a visa and flight.

So this is very good news!

FYI - the documents from our social worker were submitted by our Agency on Feb 2 and the LONO is dated Feb 3...then until the 14th to arrive by snail mail (post-marked the 10th).  I'm supposing the delay was due to the fact that our social worker neglected to sign page 2 (honestly...and I didn't notice)...so he had to send a second signed original...eeekk.  We live in the land of paperwork mix-ups....  And if you are really following our timeline...yes, there was nearly a week between when we submitted our forms to the Agency and when the Agency submitted them (and noticed the missing signature) ...  chalk that up to illness and less urgency due to the other known hangups with our file...
